So what famous athletes have faced their fair share of sports trauma? Tiger Woods, one of the most successful professional golfers in the world, will miss the upcoming Masters tournament for the very first time in his career. Instead, Woods will be entering rehab to treat a number of sports-related injuries that he has suffered from over the years.

This all began in late 2002, Woods had an operation to remove fluid from around the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee. As a result, he had to go through recovery for a few weeks. Woods continued to have trouble with his ACL, as in July 2007, it ruptured in his left knee though he continued to play and he won five out of six tournaments, including the PGA Championship.
